Double Weekend Question
Wiki says that this weekend, get double Sunspear and Lightbringer points in both Hard mode and regular gameplay. Obtain the bounty from a res shrine NPC and double your reward. I'm wondering, does this also double the bonus rewards for Vanquishing the appropriate area?
Thanks for your time Last edited by MrWint; Mar 24, 2010 at 03:58 AM // 03:58.. |

Yep it doubles the LB or SS rep you gain from a vanquish. It doubles pretty much all SS and LB you gain during the weekend except that from Books.

w00t time to VQ in nightfall finally.
Any tips on what area is the best for bonusses? Sometimes the shrines are a bit too wide spread. |

The Sulfurous Wastes has a large payout for Lightbringer vanquish, especially with the quests active, "Requiem for a Brain" and "A Show of Force".
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Sulfurous_Wastes The largest of all is Joko's Domain http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Joko's_Domain For Sunspear points, there are many good areas, and the individual wiki pages have bounty shrine maps. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Vanquish

I remember my first vanquish there, alone H/H in 3.5 hours and used 6 powerstones (the only powerstones I ever used in 2 years of GW play). I also remember my last vanquish with 8 human players from my guild which took approx. 1h. I played MM and was totally absorbed with raising/healing/boosting minions, so when the party was going to enter the worms, I asked: "Hey, didn't we miss the Paragon boss?" - "that was 15 minutes ago". "And the Earth Ele boss?" - "that was 5 minutes ago" |

Sacnoth is atleast 2x as hard as Jokos... I rolled Jokos h/h with no cons, the only hard part was the paragon boss.
Sacnoth, I used multiple consets using 2 PCs and 6 heroes and the map still took forever and a half to vanquish. But anyways; yes, Joko's is a very hard vanquish, I will most likely be doing the standard SS/LB farm. |
